What Is The Government ATOL Protection Scheme?

The Government administered ATOL scheme is designed to take over arrangements and cover costs incurred in the event that an airline or tour operator ceases trading.

It is not widely known that most airline tickets booked online are not ATOL protected and that's why we also offer Airline Failure Insurance for our flight-only customers to cover against the risk of airlines collapsing in the current climate.

Consumer Protection Guarantee - The Global Travel Group Trust Account 

All money paid to Travel Earth is immediately placed in the Global Travel Group Trust Account and covered by a unique Customer Protection Guarantee. This means that both your money and your holiday are perfectly secure when you book through Travel Earth.

The Global Travel Group Trust Account is essentially the same as ABTA bonding and is set up like a trust account. As members of the Global Travel Group, all customer payments are covered by the Global Travel Group Ltd Customer Protection Scheme.

• This means that in the unlikely event of Travel Earth's insolvency, both the consumer and our suppliers are protected by the use of a Client Account where money is held on behalf of the customer and supplier.
• Similarly, should the Global Travel Group Ltd fail, the consumer's money remains in the Client Account and again, both the customer and supplier remain protected.
• Funds in this account are not available to the liquidator, so when you book with Travel Earth, you have complete peace of mind that your money is protected!
